The modules in this theme are aimed primarily at middle managers, the engine room of organizational change. They are designed to ensure that the decisions that have been taken by the senior management team and the agenda that has been set are carried out effectively. The focus is on creating an environment for transformation and planning and managing the effort. They concentrate on two aspects of directing the transformation:
DT1: Leading transformation projects
Getting the ‘soft stuff’ right is hard as anyone who has tried to change attitudes and behaviours knows only too well. This module tackles this subject head on. It starts from the position that, to transform processes through others, everyone has to begin thinking and behaving like a winner. Only then can they lead and motivate improvement project team members effectively. This module deals with leading self and others to develop the attitudes and behaviours needed to make improvement a habit within the organization.
DT2: Managing transformation projects
This module teaches the organizing skills that are a vital requirement for successfully managing a team of people who have the common objective of improving a process. Directed towards improvement team leaders its objective is to develop the skills and competencies that will ensure that projects meet their targets.
