Exercise Leadership

The four modules in this theme will mainly be of interest to members of the senior management team concerned with an operations system. They help you to create a future direction for operations.

EL1: Define the operations strategy

After successfully completing this module members of the senior management team will have developed and reached agreement on an externally-focused agenda for the operations system.

EL2: Identify opportunities

Based around a value stream mapping exercise, this module focuses on identifying the opportunities for improvement internally. You will also learn how to carry out a values stream mapping exercise.

EL3: Set the agenda

In this module the externally and internally focused analyses that were carried out in EL1 and EL2 are brought together to create a single development agenda. The module can also be run on a stand-alone basis.

EL4: Energize the organization

It is not enough to have well worked-out plans, people in the organization have to be motivated and empowered to carry them out. In this module delegates learn ways to ensure that plans are implemented effectively and to make the transformation effort self-sustaining.
